On October 5th, 2019 we successfully held our 5th Annual local Kids Fly Day at the 100 Mile House Flying Club.
All were greeted with a beautiful and crisp sunny day and we introduced another group of eager kids to a ‘flying experience’ with free half hour flights around the community.
Registration, ‘ground school’ and snacks were again graciously provided by the Club members. The local governments also provided some financial support.
Three pilots took up 39 kids for some local adventure and maybe opened a window for a potential career in aviation.
The day wrapped up with a spaghetti dinner and a great slide show presentation by Dave McElroy of the Kelowna Flying Club with some beautiful pictures of two
“Hope Air” charity fund-raising flights with several small BC-based aircraft around South America and Alaska.
A fun and rewarding day was enjoyed by everyone.
