The 100 Mile House Flying Club recently hosted the annual Kids Fly Day with the generous financial support from both the Cariboo Regional District as well as the District of 100 Mile House. There were also club members who generously brought their own aircrafts to take people up in.

Over 30 students between grades 7-12 attended the event and everybody had the chance to go on a free 25-30 minute flight over the South Cariboo region, some of them even being able to see their house from the air.

The event is put on to give students a taste of flying and to open their eyes to the world of aviation, whether that is considering obtaining their private pilot licence or even to venture into a commercial setting.
The weather held out just long enough for everyone to go on their flight before rain and low clouds started to drift in.

There were smiles all around...
