Junior Aviator Day 2023.jpg
11th Annual Junior Aviator Fly Day

No upcoming events at the moment

Participants will be greeted at the 100 Mile House Airport across from the Visitor Centre where parents can park their vehicles. Once the required waivers have been completed and received, participants will join in a short ground school where the theory of flight and the possibilities of careers in aviation will be discussed. Waivers will be available on site, should any be required, but it is encouraged to have them filled out ahead of time.  The waiver can be downloaded here.

A static aircraft will be on display where questions may be asked while Junior Aviators wait for their flight.

Participants will be taken up in groups of three.  Participants should arrive with their friends whenever possible.  Flights will be offered on a first-come first-fly basis. Flights will be 20-30 minutes and passengers will see the community of 100 Mile House, the 108 and Horse Lake, or possibly Edmund Lake and Valentine Lake.

The 100 Mile House Flying Club is pleased to provide this window into aviation for the 11th consecutive year.  The club would also like to thank the District of 100 Mile House as well as the Cariboo Regional District for their generous donation, without which events such as these would not be able to take place.

Should the weather not be pleasant for flying, this event will be rescheduled for the spring.

See you all there!
